Blast Overview

What is Blast?

Blast is a Layer 2 platform on Ethereum offering native interest earnings on ETH and stablecoins, a first in the space. With automatic rebasing, your ETH and USDB (Blast's stablecoin) balances grow over time at rates better than other L2s. Blast also shares gas fee revenues with Dapp developers, incentivizing them to build on its network. The mainnet launch is expected at the end of February.

Frequently asked questions

Unlike other L2s, Blast offers a baseline yield of 4% for ETH and 5% for stablecoins, along with revenue sharing from gas fees with Dapp developers.

Yield comes from Ethereum staking and on-chain T-Bill protocols, automatically passed back to users through a rebasing mechanism.

Auto-rebasing adjusts ETH and USDB balances on Blast automatically to reflect the native yields.

Yes, due to Blast's EVM compatibility and opt-in rebasing for smart contracts, existing Dapps can deploy on Blast with minimal changes.

Blast plans to allow its community to propose and integrate alternative or additional yield-generating protocols in the future.
