It operates as a non-custodial platform, meaning that digital assets and NFTs are not owned by any middleman or intermediary. NFT renting or lending on Vera's marketplace can be collateralized or non-collateralized, with borrowers either depositing collateral or not requiring any collateral to rent NFTs.
NFT renting or lending works by allowing individuals to list their NFTs on a marketplace with their desired rental terms. There are two types of renting: collateralized and non-collateralized.
In collateralized renting, the borrower is required to deposit collateral in order to rent the NFT. This collateral serves as a guarantee for the lender in case the borrower fails to fulfill their rental obligations.
On the other hand, non-collateralized renting does not require any collateral. The borrower can rent the NFT without having to provide any additional assets as security.
When you rent an NFT on Vera, there are no hidden fees involved. Vera charges a one-time transaction fee from the lender instead. In the case of NFT purchases with seller financing or mortgages, Vera also does not add hidden fees to the purchase price but takes a one-time transaction fee from the seller and a percentage of the interest as a service fee from mortgage transactions.
